Welcome to a small Boer goat operation located approximately 1 hour southwest of Wheeling, WV in the rolling hills of Monroe County, Ohio. 

 

The herd consists of Registered full bloods with only 1 percentage doe remaining. My does represent some of the best bloodlines available. I am focusing on producing Quality over Quantity. My herd is small but my show results in the local fairs speak for the success of my operational focus.

 

The demand for goat meat in the United States is increasing but so are production costs, ie. fuel & feed. To be successful each producer must build a herd with stock that is hardy, kids easily, obtains high weight gain and shows uniform carcass yields.  Full blooded quality Boers offer all these attributes. Along with my father, Robert Hull in Buckhannon, WV, we are working to offer these animals to both states. So whether your need is breeding stock or 4H wethers, our animals will work for you.

 

My goal is to raise animals in as natural setting as possible. In order to accomplish this goal, chickens & an orchard to combat parasites, our personal food costs & reduce our burden on this planet have been added. 

 

Also SLD Farm serves as a second chance for neglected & abused animals. Horses, goats, dogs, cats & ferrets have all found a safe haven here while they await their forever home.
